There’s a certain sentimentality that comes with owning vinyl records as a DJ.
You develop a bond with it, as you learn every groove or imperfection on it. Even 15 years into the digital era, there is a number of great tracks exclusive to vinyl – many given a limited release (like Paul Mac’s “Rolled Out And Back). Finding that track that is only available on vinyl and perhaps not something everyone has heard or knows about, makes me feel a little special.
But I think the main reason I prefer vinyl over digital Djing is that turntables lack LED screens. So you end up doing more listening in the end.
