EDDIE ROY
JULES BANGSWORTH
Halifax’s half-pint party rocker Jules Bangsworth is known for her genre-bending, crowd-pleasing style, and her larger-than-her live show energy. Since stepping behind the decks nine years ago she’s hit the road from coast to coast, packing dance floors from Vancouver to Halifax – and opening for the likes of Freaky Flow, Aphrodite, Mark Farina, and The Freestylers. With her Halifax residencies at Onyx and the Bitter End, her monthly hip hop jam at The Company House (Queer Pressure), guest appearances at Montreal’s Bass Drive, and a win for the 2014 Music Nova Scotia DJ of Year, Jules shows no signs of slowing down her work hard, play harder ethics.
Keith Mustachi
grew up in Scarborough, Ontario having a love of all music from hip hop to metal to orchestral suites to rock and roll and jazz. Having took up playing percussion and trombone while in high school, he formed a progressive jazz fusion band called Seven Joint Ride performing as lead singer, alt percussion and theremin.
The band had minimal success due to constant line up changes, but made its mark upon the Toronto music scene. Still feeling a calling towards music, Keith turned his attention towards electronic music and began experimenting with mixing, integrating abstract music, like Tool, with electronic music with success. Taking up the moniker “Kai’ckul”-one of the many names of the main protagonist of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series, Keith aims to bring forth the most musical and psychedelic electronic music to the dancefloor. With the addition to his theremin playing during his sets, Kai’ckul is able to grasp crowds in awe sonically.
During his first year spinning Kai’ckul has made fast progress sharing the stage with CRYSTAL CASTLES, CHRIS LIBERATOR, TOMBA, CHRISPY, BARE NOIZE, SOHA, DEKO-ZE, MARCUS VISIONARY, TAPEDECK BROS, and FREEDOM DANISH to name a few.
After holding a successful residency at the Toonie Tuesdays at Rancho Relaxo and frequenting the Tapedeck Bros weekly radio show, Kai’ckul formed the company/community Electropolis with Mattew Almeida. This rising force in the Toronto music scene aims to bring the best in independent music to the masses uniting art of all nature together. Kai’ckul has recently began performing theremin and effects with local act HUGSNOTDRUGS and looking forward to playing WEMF, Harvest Festival, as well as his sustaining his residency at Nocturne Nightclub for his weekly party Twisted Tuesdays and monthly Friday
