Born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Ricky Scatman’s roots are based in rock and roll. He spent his 20’s as a touring guitarist for bands like Money Money (Orange / Universal) , Rikers (Anthem / Warner ) and the Lumbermen. Shows across Canada and Europe gave him a foundation for what makes music work at every level. The stage eventually gave way to the studio and newfound passion for production was born.
Production credits range from the dirty rock n roll of the Lumbermen to the 80’s sax and synth of Kennedy Cult (eOne) and even extends to background music for film and tv. Recent TV credits include TSN, Daily Planet and CTV.
After being inspired by a new wave of electronic acts, Ricky began composing his own tracks, spinning vinyl and undertaking a series of new electronic projects.
